I’m a writer based in metro-Detroit, Michigan. I’ve written about everything from the grassroots activism of CBD sales, to cult deprogramming, to the story behind Dr. Bronner's castile oil soap. You can see my writing in Slate, The Guardian, Salon, NY Mag, Business Insider and more.

I have worked as a filmmaker in Los Angeles and Chicago and now, motherhood. I now live and work in Royal Oak, MI with three curly-headed children and my husband. I spend my free time "eating stories like grapes."
